School Accountability Report Card
Coast Union High School rests in a land of green pasture land fringed with tall trees, about three miles from the Pacific Ocean near the village of Cambria. It serves a student population of the incorporated coastal communities of Cayucos, Cambria and San Simeon and surrounding areas and has enrollment of approximately 230 students. A Block Schedule has been in use since the 1996-1997 school year with students attending 8 classes, four classes meeting on an alternating A/B schedule for 85 minute periods.
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
The second semester of the 2012-2013 school year at Coast Union High School is off to a great start! The boys and girls basketball and soccer teams are off to a successful season! The first day of practice for spring sports (Baseball, Softball, and Boy’s Tennis) is Feb. 4th. Come out and support your Bronco sports teams! Thank you parents, students, faculty and community members for your support and involvement making the school year so successful.
Staff and students are excited for the upcoming school-wide distribution of iPads! Every student in the school will be issued an iPad and a case.
•We are planning on distributing iPads in the CUHS Cafeteria at 6:00pm
Monday, February 4: 11th & 12th grades
Wednesday, February 6: 9th & 10th grades
Thursday, February 7: Make-up distribution all grades
Upcoming school holidays are Monday, Feb. 11th, Monday, Feb. 18th, and Spring Break is March 23rd through April 1st. The last day of school and CUHS graduation is Friday, June 7th.
