Coast Union High School rests in pasture land fringed with tall trees, about three miles from the Pacific Ocean near the village of Cambria. It serves a student population of the coastal communities of Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon, and surrounding areas and has an enrollment of approximately 250 students. CUHS is a California Distinguished School, U.S. News and World Report Silver Medalist, and listed as one of Newsweek’s Best American High Schools. CUHS is one of the first public high schools in California to distribute iPads to students on a 1:1 ratio. Class meet in Block Schedule with students attending 8 classes, four classes meeting on an alternating A/B schedule for 88 minute periods. CUHS has a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and sports teams in addition to its extensive list of college preparatory academic courses.

Greetings, Coast Union High School Students and Families
This is a friendly reminder that Summer Session 2015, for credit recovery in Math and English/Language Arts and an enrichment course in Computer Science, will run August 3-21, 8:00 AM-12:30 PM, at the Coast Union High School campus. It is recommended that all Coast Union students who are in jeopardy of not graduating from high school in four years, because s/he received one or more failing grades on his/her semester report card and/or is more than ten (10) credits deficient, attend summer school in order to make up credits.
All students who received one or more Fail grade at the end of spring semester have already been notified.
