Coast Union High School
Coast Union High School rests in pasture land fringed with tall trees, about three miles from the Pacific Ocean near the village of Cambria. It serves a student population of the coastal communities of Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon, and surrounding areas and has an enrollment of approximately 250 students. CUHS is a California Distinguished School, U.S. News and World Report Silver Medalist, and listed as one of Newsweek’s Best American High Schools. CUHS is one of the first public high schools in
California to distribute Chromebooks to students on a 1:1 ratio. Class meet in Block Schedule with students attending 8 classes, four classes meeting on an alternating A/B schedule for 88 minute periods. CUHS has a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and sports teams in addition to its extensive list of college preparatory academic courses.
